Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ian and the team were very professional and polite. The process was made more complicated due to myself having to arrange some roof repairs before the work had started. But once these works were complete the Mr Solar team got everything done very quickly. We were shown how easy the app was to use and how to see how much we were saving, although it took a while as the install was completed in November. But once March arrived it has been great.
Great service

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Trustindex. No solar input
I first noticed a problem when using the Givenergy app to monitor solar input and battery storage use. The battery was constantly 100% yett there was no input from the panels. Initial fears was that the panels had failed (installed in 2013), but with 2 separate strings this didn't seem likely. I contacted Ian and he suggested that the first route was to carry out a drone survey which showed the panels were fine. He sent an electrician ( Matthew) to check system and eventually managed to rectify the issue. Very impressed with service i received and would highly recommend Mr Solar for your solar needs.

I discovered that our solar panel had stopped generating power
I called the office and spoke to a very knowledgeable and pleasant lady. Nadine. She confirmed what had suspected inverter failure. But before going ahead she asked me do some tests and suggested that maybe a hard reset might work.
This didn't so I went ahead with getting it replaced. The unit arrived in 3 working days and the Electrician Jamie came 2 days later as promised. He was very efficient and pleasant and we are now generating again.
Really happy with the service all round
Thank you

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Trustindex. New Router changing Dongle information
We changed Internet provider so our new router was not reading the GivEnergy dongle and showing offline on the GivEnergy app. After sending half a day trying GivEnergy app to change info to new router and failed. We contacted Ian at Mr Solar and he sent us all the information required to do it and on the first time it was up and running. In the pass we purchased GivEnergy items from Ian. I have now learnt a value thing, in the future I will go to Ian first instead of GivEnergy because you spoke to a person and not a robot. No wonder GivEngery reviews are less than 2 out of 5 and Ian's is 4.7 out of 5. Great news for a local company should have gone to Ian first.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Trustindex. Excellent service, professional and friendly.
I contacted MR Solar PV after completing some significant due diligence. Ian from Mr Solar designed the system with me, Tesla Powerwall, Expansion pack and Tesla Gateway coupled to 25 Aiko Gen3 485w Solar panels. These were professionally and efficiently installed by Alistair and Russ. An excellent installation, I was very well supported by Ian and Nadine, answering all the questions I had throughout the installation/commissioning and close out paperwork process.
I thoroughly recommend Mr Solar PV and the whole team at Mr Solar.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were recommended to Mr Solar by a friend who had solar panels already installed by them. We are very pleased we went with the recommendation. Ian and Nadine were extremely efficient prompt and knowledgeable. Ian was able to guide us through the choices for the installation and the team (Russ and Gerry) were hard working and worked to a high standard. We were impressed with the whole experience.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We already had solar panels under the original FIT scheme and recently a friend had had a large installation installed complete with batteries, we weren't sure if adding a battery to our system would be beneficial but Ian explained in detail - we had another company who basically just said yes you'd benefit! - so having this info we were happy to go ahead, the battery was installed in May and has definitely saved us money but more importantly it has giving us flexibility to use the stored electric in the evenings rather then feeling we have to do everything during the free 'sun' time.
Have since added a second battery.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Checkatrade. Solar Pv Installation
After much consideration and investigation, I purchased a 16 panel Givenergy solar system with 9.5Kw battery from Mr Solar. I was very satisfied with the whole process. No 'hard-sell' but plenty of advice and information to ensure you purchased a suitable system. The installation was undertaken in an appropriate reassuring professional manner. If you are considering the installation of a Pv system, I highly recommend Mr Solar, as a company you can rely on to provide a great customer experience, a high standard of service and a quality installation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Checkatrade. Solar PV installation
I had several Solar quotes from different providers, all appeared over priced in my opinion and some including home visits over several hours with well rehearsed sales pitches, where they just would not leave to pressure for a sale. What initially appealed to me with Mr Solar was the simplicity of the process, no sales pitch, no pressure. Strong advice, clear and simple pricing, followed by polite, clean, professional installation. I can’t fault them!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Checkatrade. Solar panel installation
Mr solar upgraded the system on our new build. An extra 6 panels were installed, and a battery system in the loft. A few months later we had him install another battery so we can charge over night when electricity is cheaper on top of the charge we get from the sun. We now have much cheaper bills than most people and we are also charging an EV.

I used Mr Solar for a system install on my home. The team responded quickly to my request for quote and the quote itself was great. Good price, fast installation and since the system was installed, Ian Gilfedder (owner) has been nothing but supportive in setting the system up. Nothing but good things to say. Great service, great price and friendly team.

Sunsynk 3.6kw battery 5.12kw Canadian Solar Panels 405

Mr G Kooi, Belton, Norfolk

Re Mr. Solar
We were keen to have solar panels installed but were not sure of the system that would be best for us. We contacted several potential installers (some of whom did not even acknowledge our enquiries) to ask for advice and a cost estimate. Ian at Mr. Solar did get back to us quickly and fixed a date to come and talk us through possible systems and give us an estimate of the cost involved. The quote from Mr. Solar was competitive and Ian was happy to talk through the installation with us before we made our final decision. We did have quotes from nationwide companies but were keen to work with a local company.
When it came to the actual installation the team from Mr. Solar were excellent. Although we had some very challenging weather conditions with bouts of heavy rain and very low temperatures the team worked uncomplainingly and got things done more or less on schedule. Just as importantly the system is working well even in winter conditions and has been adjusted to try and meet our needs at all stages.
We feel we could recommend Mr. Solar to anybody looking for a domestic solar installation

Mr Mead Gorleston, Gorleston, Norfolk

We highly recommend using Mr Solar.

I had a quote from Ian who was knowledgeable and straightforward with his advice. The quote was reasonable, we decided to use Mr Solar and were not disappointed. The installation went smoothly, with Ken electrician and the lads, panel installers, all doing a fabulous job.We have been generating electricity from our solar panels for approximately five weeks and we are already very pleased with the system. Even on grey days of which there have been many lol, we have saved money on our electricity bill. Very professional and the service couldn’t have been better.

Ian Beales, Suffolk

We were very pleased with Mr Solar’s company. The electricians and roofers were very polite, diligent and tidy. They discussed the work in advance and kept us up to date as they went along. They worked in all weathers to keep the job on time. The equipment was upgraded to a higher spec battery & inverter at no extra cost and the panels were among the highest power and efficiency available. They are a local company and I would recommend them.

David Buckley

My solar panels, installed by another company were not working and there were complications. From the first phone call, and prompt response, service has been exemplary, with efforts made to resolve the problems as efficiently and economically as possible. Every step of the way was explained carefully and fully and the friendly and professional team cannot be faulted.
Thank you to the entire ‘Mr Solar’ team; I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Brilliant, outstanding, exemplary service – look no futher!

Company Comments; We stripped the system off the roof as only held on with a few brackets on each rail, Repaired all MC4 terminals as poor connections and arking, replaced all Solar Edge Optimisers, Solar edge inverter replaced as they had been fried.

Pankaj Garg, Norwich

I contacted Mr Solar pv for a quote to install a solar system on my bungalow. The quote was very competitive compared to my other enquiries which prompted me to up my game and go for a storage system which again was very competivly priced. My system was installed on time and I was surprised at just how much work was involved doing all the electrical stuff. Our electrician was first class, being both pleasant and very technically skilled. On completion I noticed how neat and tidy the install was all tucked away in the roof space. All the information I require is on an app on my phone, so I dont need to visit the roof space to see whats happening.I am very happy with my dealings with Mr Solar PV , and more importantly Im confident that their customer service is as good as it should be. Contact was excellent at all times and I felt like I was valued as a customer. Would I use them again? you bet I would.

My father had had batteries fitted to his solar panels via another company not by Mr Solar, but when it came to put in his figures for his payment, they had generated very little. He contacted the company who promised to come out on numerous occasions but never came back. Dad contacted Mr Solar who was happy to help and found the inverter had not been set up right. Thanks to mr Solar everything is back up and running. We are very grateful.

Mr Solar saves the day….

Thoroughly recommend

Great service from start to finish from Ian and the team. Ian made the initial home visit to discuss my options and review what as already installed. The supplied quote covered all my requirements at a great price and the installation was all completed in good time. I would thoroughly recommend them and find local companies to be far cheaper and professional than the ‘cold calling’ national ones!

WOW!

In these times of mediocrity how refreshing to receive such a service from a local company. Within a week of visiting us the install began with 6.8KV of solar panels and 19KW of battery storage. Forget the national companies as this was by far the cheapest quote we had. Save money and go local, you will not be dissapointed.
A big thank you to Ian and his team.

Excellent service
Just had solar panels fitted by Mr Solar and already saving on electricity on a dull January day! Ian was very informative when doing the quote (which was competitive). The fitters, Russell and Haydon, were excellent – hard working, polite, respectful and tidy, even when they were on the roof in a snow storm. Early days but looking good.

Help and advice when it is needed.
I purchased my system from Mr Solar just over a year ago and have had excellent performance from the system. I view my daily intake etc from an app on my phone. Due to building works near to me, we recently lost internet connection for over 4 days and nights. When we got the net back, I noticed my app had re connected but changed. I was getting power from the panels but the battery wasnt giving it up when needed. On an off chance, I phoned Mr Solar,s office on a Saturday for help and within a couple of hours, Ian was on the phone sorting the problem remotely.
He had got my message while at home but chose to respond anyhow. I cant tell you how rare and valued that kind of service is in this day and age and a serious point to consider when considering who to purchase your system from. Thanks Mr Solar.
